Los Angeles, CA (CNS) – Gerard Butler and Jamie Foxx team up in the upcoming drama/thriller film from Overture Films. “Law Abiding Citizen” will unspool in theaters next week.
Butler stars as Clyde Shelton, whose family was brutally killed in a home robbery, while Fox stars as Nick Rice, the D.A. who got one of the murderers off so that the other would be put in the death row.
Clyde then extracts his revenge, not only to the killers, but also to the justice system that failed him, including Nick.

Directed by “The Negotiator” helmer F. Gary Gary and written by Kurt Wimmer, the film also stars Leslie Bibb, Bruce Mcgill, Colm Meaney, Viola Davis, Michael Irby, Gregory Itzin and Regina Hall.
“Law Abiding Citizen” hits cinema on October 16.
